The Dixon Gallery and Gardens is reopening the Wanda Stevens Stout Gallery later this month.
Opening March 17, the gallery got a major renovation this past winter and has been closed since October. Showcasing the Warda Stevens Stout Collection of 18th century German porcelain, the gallery features new wall and interior case colors, improved lighting, and more accessible interpretive materials.
The Stout Gallery has housed the Dixon’s 410 pieces of German porcelain since 1985. That year, Warda Stevens Stout bequeathed her porcelain collection to the museum on the condition that there would be a permanent space dedicated to its display.
