New fire museum exhibit

The Fire Museum of Memphis has opened a new exhibit called “9-1-1 Safety Theatre.”

Sponsored by Shelby County 9-1-1 and housed in the Fire Museum of Memphis at 118 Adams, the exhibit will teach children and adults how to properly call 9-1-1. It’s being housed in what was formerly the museum’s entertainment room, and one wall of the theatre will feature exhibit panels, interactive displays and a kiosk about 9-1-1.

Among the exhibit’s features, children will have an opportunity to call 9-1-1 on a practice phone, and a 70-inch flat-screen monitor will show videos about 9-1-1 and fire safety.
