Prudential Sells Brokerage; Collins-Maury Franchise Not Affected

One of the largest real estate brokerage franchise networks in North America has sold its brokerage, but the Memphis offices are not affected.

Prudential Financial Inc. recently announced the sale of Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, the company’s real estate brokerage and relocation services unit, to Toronto, Ontario-based Brookfield Residential Property Services. Prudential Real Estate had more than 1,600 franchise offices and 54,100 sales professionals in the franchise network as of December 31, 2010.

Prudential Collins-Maury Inc. Realtors – a full service real estate firm serving the Greater Memphis and North Mississippi areas – will continue business as usual. Founded in 1987, Prudential Collins-Maury is independently owned and operated by president Doug Collins with four offices in Collierville, Germantown, East Memphis, and Mississippi.

In fact, the firm has some released some significant changes up top in recent weeks, including the promotion of Neil Hubbard to vice president and hiring former executive director of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors, Jules Wade, as manager of its East Memphis office.
