After stepping down earlier this year as CEO of the online news site Nibletz, which relocated its headquarters to Memphis last year, Kyle Sandler has now apparently moved on to a new tech news venture.
Sandler’s LinkedIn profile shows he was involved with Nibletz through October and that on Nov. 1 he became the “managing partner and executive editor” of TechFaster, where he oversees content, brand, growth and production duties.
Sandler’s biography on the TechFaster “About” page does not mention his co-founding of Nibletz. His TechFaster bio does note, however, that he got involved with that site earlier this year as a consultant.
Sandler’s image, biography and contact information also have been removed from the “About us” section of the Nibletz website.
Nibletz shuffled its leadership earlier this year after complaints from unpaid vendors and prize winners following its inaugural “Everywhere Else” startup conference held in Memphis in February, which hundreds of entrepreneurs and members of the startup community from around the country attended. Nibletz initially said payment delays were the result of FedEx pulling its sponsorship of the event days before it opened.
Nibletz’s current CEO and editor-in-chief live outside the city, but the venture is still listed as an EmergeMemphis client and has announced it’s bringing back its “Everywhere Else” conference to Memphis in 2014.
