Front Porch Art recently helped artist Rebecca Phillips wrap up a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for her Memphis Type Illustrated series. The project was 100 percent funded in two weeks, so Front Porch Art is now sharing some of what the business learned using Kickstarter to fund an artistic venture.
- Give people something valuable to support – “People enjoy supporting something that matters.”
- Offer rewards that get people talking – “You want your backers to talk about you to their friends long after your project is complete.”
- Reach out for support – “If you build it and don’t tell anyone about it, no one will come.”
- Be generous. Offer backers the best rewards you can – “You may feel like a starving artist, but don’t let that make you lose sight of what you’re hoping to accomplish.”
