Greenways and Crime

A very interesting snapshot on how crime fell near a greenway in Minneapolis.

And another study showing the same results in other cities:

Interesting, given progress on the Memphis greenway, especially in the city limits.

(I have to credit someone who was commenting on a CA story about the greenway for the information above. The commenter posted links to a site that led me to the above. Not sure of the MLA format for crediting a commenter. I’m not even sure “commenter” is a word. Regardless, thanks.)

Great post, Eric B. As numerous greenway proponents have told me, criminals typically prefer cars and streets for their illicit activities, not bikes and inline skates along trails.
