Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum set attendance record in 2013

The Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum set an attendance record in 2013.

More than 60,000 people came to the Downtown Memphis museum to learn a little bit more about the history of rock, an attendance growth rate of 15 percent over 2012’s total of 52,179 attendees.

That official count only includes paid admissions, while even more came using things like private events or complimentary passes.

Museum executive director John Doyle attributed the attendance spurt to a few things, including an increased social media effort and the museum’s ‘Guitar Your Car’ campaign benefiting music education.
