Sen. Alexander: You could fit Obamacare first-month signups into Neyland Stadium, with room left over
Tenn. Sen. Lamar Alexander blasted the new health care law today – particularly, the lower than expected enrollment figures (106,185 sign-ups) released by the Obama administration.
“You could fit everyone who signed up for Obamacare in the first month into Neyland Stadium – and still have room for the ‘Pride of the Southland’ marching band,” Alexander said.
In response to the president’s frequently heard promise that “If you like your health plan, you can keep it,” Alexander released a statement explaining several Republican senators want to put that phrase into law via the “If You Like Your Health Plan You Can Keep It Act.”
That legislation would allow American to remain on health plans that have been in effect through the end of this year.
