Several food trucks will be parked on Walnut Grove between Humphries and Farm Road throughout September and October.
They’ll be on the eastbound side, hoping to catch commuters headed home to Collierville and Germantown.
Monday will see Hunger Monkey, Pig N Out BBQ and Gourmet Grillers.
Tuesday will be Central BBQ, Fuel Food Truck and Millie’s Garden.
Wednesday will be Pop’s Smokehouse, Fuel Food Truck and Tamale Trolley
Thursdays will be Central BBQ, Tamale Trolley and Millie’s Garden
Friday will be Quincy’s BBQ, Tamale Trolley and Lick the Plate
As that schedule shows, different food trucks will be rotating in and out, keeping the menu variety always fresh. One of the participants told me the goal of this effort is to make it easier and quite possibly no more expensive to pick up dinner from one of these trucks on the way home than it would be to cook it yourself.
This effort, by the way, was put together by Ted Sullivan, events manager for Central BBQ, and Kate Phillips, manager of facilities sales for the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy.
