Downtown’s Dream Berry Frozen Yogurt in Flux

Downtown Memphis’ weigh-and-pay frozen yogurt shop is in jeopardy of closing.

Nirva Patel, owner and operator of Dream Berry Frozen Yogurt & Treats, has posted an ad on Craig’s List explaining that he is being forced out of his space at 94 S. Main St.

“My hope is to sell everything as a package deal, including equipment, furniture, and POS and even possibly store Name and Concept,” the ad reads.

Patel confirmed to The Daily News Wednesday, Aug. 15, that the landlord is terminating his lease. The Shelby County Assessor of Property lists the building owner as Paul N. Wilson of Collierville.

When asked if moving to another Downtown location was a possibility, Patel responded, “right now, we’re looking into a few spaces to relocate and we’re looking for what could be the best option for us.”

Dream Berry opened in May 2011 in the 1,800-square-foot space to the north of what is now Aldo’s Pizza Pies.
