State revokes doctors’ licenses

The Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners has revoked the licenses of two Germantown physicians.
Dr. Daniel S. Fearnow had his license permanently revoked and was assessed a $27,000 penalty.
Fearnow was indicted in October on multiple charges of prescribing narcotics for no legitimate reason. The board had previously suspended his license.
Dr. Seth Yoser had his license revoked because he was found guilty of a crime.
In February, Yoser was sentenced to 42 months in prison for mail fraud, wire fraud and selling drugs without a license.
An ophthalmologist, Yoser pleaded guilt to 35 counts of federal fraud charges for stealing an expensive medicine from his practice, double-billing Medicare for the medicine and then selling it back to ophthalmology practices, including the clinic where he was a partner.
